Alternate drug: If the problem returned after the initial course of antibiotic, it may mean that the problem causing the infection (such as obstruction) is still there or that the bacteria is resistant to the antibiotic which nonetheless kept the infection down temporarily only to return after the antibiotic was withdrawn
