A member asked:

Is scaring from breast cysts permanent?

Breast cyst: Breast cysts are classified as simple, complicated, or complex. Breast cysts do not cause scarring. The only reason to treat a breast cyst is if it is causing severe pain or obstructing adjacent breast tissue. The treatment is usually aspiration. If the doctor decides on excisional biopsy, he will remove the cyst wall. Any minimal scars left on the skin should not concern you.

It depends: The cysts do not cause scarring. But surgery to remove them(if you have done it) may leave a scar but a good surgeon will be careful and create scar which is circular and around the areola such that it doe snot show or appear unsightly.
