Been on prednisone since october 6, 40mg. i have tapered down to 35 in total. recently i have had some swelling. will this go away after i taper to 0?

If by "swelling": you mean "edema" or fluid in your ankles etc the answer is YES it will go away.. IN FACT a 40 mgm taper will usually cause NO PERMANENT side effects! Hope this helps! Dr Z
