Oh my, this is a: Serious issue. Please don't ask the providers on health tap to provide your son's medication recommendations. We don't know him and our actual purpose is provide medical information - not treatment recommendations. With a history of crohn's disease & bowel resection - it is imperative that medical guidance be given by his treating physicians who know his medical history. Take care.

Tapering: Ten mg every other day, then five mg and then stop.
