Many causes: Vertigo can be caused by many things such as ear infections or changes in the inner ear. Common medications like motrin or aleve (naproxen) may also be a cause. Check with your doctor to make sure you do not have an infection and that you are not on any medications that can cause the problem.

Analysis: Would suggest you try laying down on one side and switch to other to see if this might provoke the vertigo, as this could help sort out peripheral vrs central vertigo, as cause and treatment would be different. Trauma can cause such problems, but typically head injury. Rarely, isolated neck injuries can cause rare syndrome, Barre-Leio, and an ENT specialist can pin down, perhaps reverse.
