Vertigo is a symptom: Vertigo is a symptom, not a disease. It describes dizziness in which you feel the room is spinning around you as opposed to being unsteady. There are certain processes that can cause ear pressure, vertigo, and fainting. One that comes to mind is meniere's disease (fainting in this situation is called drop attacks). A ENT visit is warranted.

No: Vertigo shouldn't cause these issues. Though other middle ear or brain issues can. You should see an ENT or a neurologist.
