Check with MD: Lidocaine will ease the pain but will not aid in wound healing. If wound is clean Vitamin E oil applied 3 x daily will hasten healing.If red or any evidence of pus antibiotic cream will help.When in doubt check with an MD.

Ans: Why would you? I assume you are saying you still have pain from the injury? The lidocaine will not go through the scar tissue. Try more of a rub like voltaren (diclofenac) gel
