Dizzy standing up: Your blood pressure changes when you stand, but should quickly normalize so that you do not notice. Occasional dizziness may be minor. When you have frequent postural hypotension, this adjustment does not happen as quickly and you notice the drop (dizziness). Your doctor can check your baseline blood pressure and make sure you do not have other issues that may contribute to postural hypotension.
