Pounding heart?: Can pounding heart cause death. No. But need II find out why it is pounding. Some causes can be fatal. Tell your team what is happening and ask why.

Rhythm: The heart is unlikely to 'collapse' from what you describe but you should see your doctor and be evaluated to see what is going on. You may need special examinations or testing to see if you have something that needs treatment.
