Sinus: this could be a few things a sinus infection infection of the top of the tongue or throat infection really need to be seen by physician or possibly a video telemedicine visit to evaluate this to diagnose and treat it

See doctor: Do you smoke. Consider quitting. It can cause mouth and throat cancer. If you have white patches it could be thrush or a yeast infection of you r mouth. Some medications can cause a metallic taste as a side effect. You should see your doctor. Also some vitamin deficiencies can lead to sores in the mouth. Make sure you have a well rounded diet with fruit in it.
