I have been coughing a lot. back of my neck hurts when i cough and my head is throbbing. also weird pains all over head. could this be from a cold?

Bronchitis : It could be bronchitis. That may be accompanied by sore throat, sinus symptoms and pain and runny nose which could be a cold accompanying bronchitis. Likely to be viral with no need for antibiotics. Take acetaminophen two to three times daily, drink fluids, rest and it should improve.

Probably: When your neck and head hurt acutely you should probably see a doctor urgently...Meningitis is the probable diagnosis, although some viral entities cause similar inflammatory processes.
