Palpitations: Palpitations can occur at any age and for the most part are benign. However, sustained episodes in an otherwise normal patient require evaluation. Certain foods - caffeine containing ones can cause them as well as certain medications - psuedoephedrine can as well as primatene or certain inhalers. Anxiety or fear can also cause them. If they are troublesome for you - have your doctor see you
