Abcess: This could be an infected Bartholin's cyst or a boil like infection, and either way it should be evaluated and treated by a gynecologist who may have to drain the infection for healing to occur. In the meantime apply warm compresses and call for the appointment. If you can't get one for tomorrow head to the hospital emergency room.

Bartholin cyst : Generally this is just a blocked gland. Sit in a hot bath and then massage it to try and drain it. If it is persistently painful, it can be lanced by your doctor.

See doctor: There are multiple things that could be going on including Bartholin's abscess, folliculitis, sebaceous cyst and others. Some cysts will resolve, some need drainage, some need antibiotics. Need to see doctor for correct diagnosis and treatment.
