Need exam: Dud you hurt your wrist? Trauma would be a likely cause. If pain doesn't subside with Ibuprofen 2-3 times daily in a few days, pl get it checked to rule out conditions like Carpal tunnel syndrome etc. which may require proper diagnosis and management to avoid complications.

Dequervains: is a common type of acute wrist pain that affects the motionof the thumb. ice, antiinflammatory medication and a soft wrist and thumb splint often can help. If symptom,s persist get evaluated
