Surgery hurts!: Pain is often worse after surgery in the first weeks. Getting cut open hurts! Talk to your surgeon about when you may expect to feel better than before surgery. Also, if your pain is not adequately controlled with the meds given after surgery, call, because something unexpected may be going on and don't delay doing so.
