ADHD: Be firm, stick to the rules of your home, be consistent. You and your child need to know where the boundaries are and you do not wish to be renegotiating those boundaries every day. Knowing what to expect is an important factor in an ADHD child's day.

ADD/ADHD: Diet and possible food sensitivities can play an important part. Please get your little guy tested. Great Plains Lab in KS specializes in this area and may have referrals if you go to their website. Peace and good health.

Self control ??????: You are not going to talk a kid out of ADHD or mind control him with tactics. Find an ADHD support group & educate yourself on the way their unique skills differ & how to harness their energy. Treatments will depend on a thorough evaluation & some trial & error. Beware of the fringe groups that offer special diets & pricey supplements.
