The Hypothalamus: releases hormones and in that process regulates processes such as metabolism, hunger, body temp., sleep, and more. If there are lesions on this small almond-shaped organ it can cause starvation or obesity. Textbooks contain lists of hormones and what they control. Peace and good health.
