Allergy.: An allergy to a food, medicine, product or anything else, does not appear the first couple of times you take/eat/apply it, sometimes not fora week or two. Rarely, it can happen after many doses have been safely used So this could mean you are allergic to the Rocephin (ceftriaxone). It depends on what else is going on, or something else you are taking. Ask your doc if the rash is due to that, or something else

Either is possible: rashes from antibiotics can occur even after you have taken it before. Did you just have a rash, or did you get fever and or hives too? Did you feel any shortness of breath? It is very possible that it was only the higher dose that triggered the reaction. The only way to tell is to cautiously try it again, but you should discuss with your doctor so s/he is fully aware and can gage the risk to y
