I have a red lump with a white head on my tonsil area, however my tonsils were taken out when i was young. what is this?

Strep?: White patches in your throat may still be due to strep or another infection. Get checked. Having your tonsils removed does not mean you will never got strep throat or other throat infections. If the white patch has been there a while, you still need to have it examined by a doc or your dentist.

Either or: It could either a remnant of the old tonsil grew over the years and become a small tonsil and becomes infected . Or the area of your throat is irritated .see your doctor for proper evaluation and treatment
