R/O CRYPT TRAPPING: Tonsilar crypt trapping can cause chronic tonsillitis you need to have throat cultured and a full panel of blood work. Also ENT CONSULT re tonsillectomy . The firm external sensation may be a secondary enlarged lymph node.
