HPT: If still no period - can retest in a week (or less).

One week: you should repeat in one week if period did not happen by then, of course you could repeat the HPT every day if you want, but the practical thing to repeat in one week. if you continue to have pregnancy symptoms, and your period still missing, and your HPT continue to be negative see your doctor for a blood test
