I'm just turned 49. i have all the symptoms of my period but no bleeding. i'm 1 week late. i took a home pregnancy test and it was negative. help?

DUB: You probably didn't ovulate and the lining of your uterus has been stimulated by hormones which normally shut off after ovulation. I suspect you will start bleeding heavily soon. We call this anovulatory or dysfunctional uterine bleeding. You should see your gynecologist. Sometimes a D&C has to be done to help. This could be a sign of early menopause.
