Make sure you don't: have a cracked rib or punctured lung. Then try to take some acetaminophen or ibuprofen for presumed contusion of your lung. Strain : Most likely you've strained your rib cage muscles and back muscles. Treat with Ibuprofen or Naproxen and using a soft ball to roll on to stretch the muscles. If you cracked a rib bone, it will heal in six weeks with no other treatment. If symptoms worsen or not improving in several weeks then see an inexpensive chiropractor for a few visits and PCP after if persistent.
