Next time you see: your doctor have them check it Since it has been there for years and has not changed it is probably nothing to worry about.

Exam needed: A physician would have to examine this lump in order to make a diagnosis and advise you. It probably is a simple,benign cyst where it hasn't changed for a long time. An enlarged lymph node is usually on the side of the back of the neck and not in the midline.
