Hard to say.: Citalopram has been reported to increase salivation in some. It can also cause heartburn (dyspepsia) and may worsen existing GI ("stomach") problems. GERD can cause reflux & Citalopram can make this worse. Often these effects are temporary and get better in a month or two. Let your doc know about this and see if should wait a bit, adjust dose, or stop. A lot depends on other drugs you take, too.
