Possibly: Sometimes eating triggers a sympathetic reaction in the bronchial tubes causing excessive phlegm production. Cold beverages and food can trigger asthma like symptoms with cough and phlegm production or even wheezing. A food allergy could cause these symptoms rarely. I don't think this is likely to be caused by anxiety.
