Suggestions: Many drugs seem to help "nerve pain", but often 2 or more drugs seem useful. But note that the maximum dose of gabapentin that works is 1800 mg daily, and beyond that, no added benefit. Better to try Lyrica, Gralise, or Horizant. Some pts do well on Cymbalta or Savella (milnacipran). Nucynta has been indicated for diabetic nerve pain, and likely would work better than Norco. Longterm, MetanX twice/day.

Dubious: Nematine and amantidine are on the market as respectively a common Alzheimer's drug and an uncommon flu medication. Frankly, I've developed pain drugs that work better than these.
