Sleep position: Your sleep position is probably causing nerve in your neck area to be pinched. Consider changing pillow or mattress for a firmer and comfortable surface. If no improvement after such changes, see your doctor to get evaluated for imaging study like MRI of your spine for a definitive diagnosis. This may require a referral to Neurologist and physical therapy. Dont worrry, most people get better:)
