The fact: that you have had tubal ligation has absolutely NOTHING to do with your menstrual cycele. It's too early for "peri-menopausal" irregularities thus I suggest some "cycling" with hormones (usually BC pills) or a "medical" D&C may be necessary if irregularities continue. "Rough Sex" may produce "spotting" but not menstrual bleeding! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Numerous reasons: The true answer to your inquiry may call for a physical examination as well as some key blood work i.e.pregnancy test,vaginal wet mount exam to rule out infections(not necessarily STD testing) and review of your general health.Abnormal bleeding can be due to Uterine polyps,Adenomyosis,Leiomyoma,malignancies,Coagulation problems ,Ovary problems,Medications and occasionally weight problems.
