If this is a new: problem and goes away after a short time of being awake and doesn't return all day,it may just be increased secretions over the eye from sleep. However, if it persists for more than a few minutes,or returns during the day,I would recommend that she see her eye doctor. It also may be that when she doesn't have her glasses on when she first wakes up,her vision is blurry.Discuss this with her doctor.

If just in am would try putting warm washcloth over eyes for a few minutes then wiping eyes to remove excess secretions
