Clonazepam effects: I understand your concern. Clonazepam is for Anxiety. Discuss with Psychiatrist about severity of anxiety and its effect on your work, relationships and hobbies, Therapy and need for Clonazepam. Long term effects may be-Tolerance, Addiction, Depression, Memory impairment, Aggression, Lethargy. It is ok to take 1 mg Clonazepam for 3 months for moderately severe anxiety. Do Relaxation, Meditation

Benzodiazepines: clonazepam is one of a class of meds called benzodiazepines. These medications can be very addictive and tolerance leads to same dose not being as effective. For this reason they are not recommended for long term use. 1 mg is a relatively low dose, but may require taper and difficult to get off of. There are other options. You may want to request a psychiatric consult
