Herpes??: Could be herpes, a viral infection. I would strongly recommend that you make an appointment with your physician and have him/her make the diagnosis. If it is herpes prompt treatment is important for many reasons.

Burning r side of tongue several weeks. No bumps or redness. No pain to eat or drink. Actually feels better when eating Cleaning/oral exam in December. Similar symptoms over last 10 years several times.-burning mouth syndrome. Hx TMJ. Suggestions?
