After 1st trimester: Typically either Allegra (fexofenadine) or Zyrtec are considered safe in pregnancy in your 2nd and 3rd trimester. In the first trimester, you have to be careful with any medication you take. However, if your life is made miserable by your allergies, an occasional Allegra (fexofenadine) is unlikely to cause much harm to the fetus.

Meds in Pregnancy: Category B medications for allergies that are safe to take during pregnancy include Claritin (loratadine), Zyrtec (cetirizine), and Rhinocort Aqua (budesonide) nasal spray. As always talk to your doctor before starting any medication while pregnant, but these medications have been proven relatively safe.
