Cannot say: cannot say in your particular case, but generally, since people have had the vaccine before, the booster effect is by 5 days after the vaccine; the illness would start by about 8 days. A bit close with a 3 day lag til getting the shot but generally good. It is NOT a subtle disease. While tetanus can linger and pop up a month after exposure, the vaccine would be fully effective certainly in 1 wk.
