Several reasons: first, depends on site. cannot say in your particular case, but generally,you'd wonder if there is a spot that isn't getting rid of it. the drug works on resistant germs, but an abcess (tonsils, sinus, lung) won't leave without surgical drainage. Then, people keep their same germs. If there is a recurrent break in skin or other loss of protection, same infection will recur.

Check ENT: Your tonsils and throat need to be checked by ENT for any abnormalities, don't believe it is related to the steroids for the orthostatic hypotension, although you need to keep a close follow up with your doctor and not be on steroids for long, good luck
