Not necessarily: Most Physicians have only limited training in treating anything in front of the tonsils. Did you point the ulcers out to your MD/DO. If not ulcers were probably overlooked. Any mouth lesion should be evaluated, especially if more than 10-14 days old. Please call your Dentist for an immediate appointment and point the ulcers out to the Dentist.
