Ideally below 180 lb: But if you are "big boned" and muscular, i suggest getting your body fat checked at a gym or a local weight loss specialist. For a 28 year-old male, your body fat should be ideally below 18%, so work on getting your weight to a point where you lose enough fat to be below 18% rather than 180 lb. If you're muscular, you might be 250 lb. With a low body fat, common in body builders and wrestlers.

Check growth chart: You can find growth charts on line. The best and most used now are measurements of weight and height together to calculate something called bmi (body mass index). Many websites can give you that and you plug in your wt and height. A bmi of 25 - 30 is classified as overweight and above 30 is called obese. Talk to your doctor about whether this is a real problem or not and what to do about it.
