A member asked:

I seem to always bv when i go for my yearly check up. i'm in a serious relationship. i wonder what the cause and how i can avoid it.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unstable vaginal pH: The vaginal pH (acidity balance) is obviously devoid of good bacteria that can maintain stability or the vagina is getting continuous "insults" and aggravation from intercourse. Have your MD (and his) do a STD evaluation if that hasn't been done already as STD's are sometimes masked by recurrent bacterial vaginitis.
