Doesn't cause: Bacterial vaginosis (bv) is too many of the 'wrong' bacteria and less of the 'good ones'. It is not a std/sexually transmitted disease, is treatable, and does not cause infertility. If you think you have BV see your ob/gyn for testing and treatment, if needed. S/he can also check for STDs like chlamydia, especially if you're under 26. See rei specialist if you're trying to conceive without success.
