Yes: In general, everything has benefits and risks. Although cannabis can help with pain, anxiety, and even insomnia, it can also lead to smoke related problems (such as cancer, copd), addiction, and more.

Opinions vary: This is a simple question with a complex answer. Marijuana has many proven health benefits but also has some hazards, esp. if used regularly. However, there is surprisingly little evidence that occasional use is hazardous. It is far less dangerous than alcohol and tobacco.
