Chiropractor : See an inexpensive chiropractor for a couple of treatments. If it doesn't resolve, go see your doctor and possibly start physical therapy. The Joint Chiropractic may be in your areas charging $20 to $30 per visit.

Cervical x-ray: OK to see your private physician for neck x-ray and use OTC NSAID like Advil or Aleve (naproxen) if not allergic to these products. I would suggest using BioFreeze cream to the affected area and alternate with dry heat
