How long would someone have to be on an iv of vancomycin to treat a uti?

Depends on: the urinary organs (lower or upper tract) involved and sensitivity of the bacteria that is causing the infection. Vancomycin is an antibiotic that is not absorbed by the body through the GI tract, so it needs to be given IV for it to work on a uti.
