Sertraline s/e: Sexual side effects should disappear after stopping sertraline. If libido remains low, consider return of depression or anxiety as a factor. Meantime, keep communication open and honest if you worry about a particular relationship. Best wishes.

Temporary: If it is only due to Zoloft, (sertraline) or other SSRI's, is almost always temporary. We can never give a 100% guarantee! Nothing in life or medicine is absolute. There have been 4 reported cases of sexual dysfunction with SSRI"s (not just Zoloft). There is no evidence that, though it is prolonged, it is permanent. See http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18173768 Only FOUR cases, so relax.

It will disappear: -- if sertraline was the cause. However, it can be complicated, since anxiety and depression can also cause sexual dysfunction, and this can cloud the picture. If you still need a medication, you can work with your prescriber to find one that doesn't affect you with that side effect.
