Up to about 7 days.: It takes about 7 days and there's nothing really that can help to speed it up although some of my patient claim that walking and being active helps.

Gas X: Simethicone ( Gas X) is a good over the counter medication for gas. Walking and being up and about helps. Three days after surgery is not long. You have to give your body a little time.
