I have become increasingly thirsty over the past month. my mouth is dry and i get super thirsty from anything salty at all. my glucose is always normal. what are the possibilities?

Could be: A big range of things ... Best to see your doctor and have some lab work taken to make sure that nothing else is going on. Always better safe than sorry - as this is one of those symptoms that could be nothing or indicate another disease process going on. Basic equation for water intake is between 2.8L (women) - 3.3L (men). Hope that helps!

See answer: Dry mouth, aka xerostomia, may be related to a number of causes. It is a common side effect of many medications. Dehydration, stress, anxiety, depression, snoring, open-mouth breathing at night, caffeine and tobacco use can all cause dry mouth. It may also be related to number of medical conditions such as Sjogren's or rheumatoid arthritis. Consultation with your MD or dentist is recommended.
