I'm finding lately that i get very thirsty and my mouth is dry. why?

Various reasons: The first one you should investigate is the possibility of having diabetes, or maybe one of a few common syndromes. See your md for simple tests. You also might have dry mouth (xerostomia) due to side effects from certain medications. By the way, dry mouth does make you much more susceptible to having cavities, so you should see your dentist as well. He/she can help too.
