Don't worry: My best guess is, especially if it's not tender, and you are sure it was not there before, is that it's a simple sebaceous cyst or something similar. I would not be embarrassed to have it checked but it's very very unlikely that it's anything to worry about.

Bumps: Most likely you have a small cyst, acne like bump, or even a tag. Never feel embarrassed to tell your Gyn anything. If you have not been to the Gyn before just tell them or your mom you think you have an infection and go to see the doctor. If it has been there that long I doubt it will go away on its own. Hope this helps
