800 mg.: The maximum dose of ibuprofen is 800 mg every 8 hours WITH FOOD. It is much, much, much cheaper by prescription, call and ask your doc or dentist to call it in for you. Only take it with food (but not milk, yogurt or melted cheese, which coats the stomach and prevents absorption). Do not ever take if you have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abd. pain.
