Zinc oxide cream: Any zinc oxide cream shd calm the affected skin down. Desitin (zinc oxide diaper cream) cream is one. Some diaper free time will also help. If the redness persists u shd have the child examined.

Must be seen: Diagnosis cannot be made without seeing him. He we should see his PCP but if not available on the weekend go to a walk-in clinic, or try a Healthtap consultation with a pediatrician or pediatric dermatologist. One possibility is angioedema.
