It depends: Studies of sexual satisfaction suggest that sex is not the magical ingredient that automatically makes a relationship fulfilling. The most gratifying sex seems to depend on each partner having his/her needs met by a partner who understands/respects one's sexual desires, valuing one's partner and being devoted to the relationship, and enjoying being with each other, both sexually and non-sexually.
